May I Introduce You To
Rusty Smallwood
Rusty Smallwood is my favorite male singer in the services at Thomas Road Baptist Church (my favorite female singer is Steadfast's own Bev Lowry). Rusty sang in the Sunday morning service in April 2007 when Jerry Falwell preached his sermon "The Indestructability of God's Servant." Jerry died shortly thereafter, on May 15, 2007.
Rusty was involved in law enforcement for many years in Florida, and currently is on the staff of the Estate Planning Department at Liberty University. His latest CD "At My Friend's Request" is available for $15 per copy by contacting him at P. O. Box 11926, Lynchburg

VA (434) 534-9125. One of the songs on the album is introduced by a short excerpt from Dr. Falwell himself.
On the back of the album Rusty states "in 2007 my friend and Pastor, Dr. Jerry Falwell, asked me to make a new solo album. He said he would like to hear the old songs that men used to sing from the pulpits across America. I agreed to make the album. God's plan for Dr. Falwell was for him to be called home in May, 2007. My friend was gone and I, like thousands of others, was heartbroken. I tabled the project. Soon the Lord began to re-kindle the fire in me for the project and therefore these songs reflect what Dr. Falwell was looking for - songs that brought such warmth and comfort to God's people. This album is dedicated to my friend, Dr. Jerry Falwell."
I believe you will be blessed by the songs on the album, which include a Who Am I Medley, When He Reached Down His Hand For Me, I Sing Because, Then Jesus Came, The Galilean, Until Then, Til The Storm Passes By, When He Was On the Cross, Ship Ahoy, and I'd Rather Have Jesus.

Rusty Smallwood made a visit to the Steadfast Class on September 13 to give his testimony and sing several songs. The visit drew several visitors, and was a tremendous blessing to all who were present.
